Spinoza is a genius equivalent to our world's Leonardo Da Vinci, but twisted by his desire for revenge upon the Empire that took his beloved wife from him forever. He appears to somehow be connected with the New Machine cult/conspiracy, a movement by various automata to transform the Ring to their own endds.
